Champions of The Round Table

After a roller coaster couple of seasons with quarterbacks, the LSU coaching staff will now go through another twist. Chris Garrett, who redshirted during his freshman season in 2009, has elected to part ways with the Tiger program.

The news came as a surprise to most, especially those who hoped that Chris Garrett would one day be the answer for any worries LSU had at quarterback.

According to a source close to the program, Garrett has elected to part ways with LSU. He will transfer out once the summer session is complete.

After he graduated from Tupelo (Miss.) High in December of 2008, Garrett enrolled at LSU the following month. When his decision was made, Garrett chose LSU over offers from the likes of Florida State, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Nebraska.

While Garrett didn't see the field during his time with the Tigers, the impact of his departure is felt immediately. Through the past spring, Garrett was the lone scholarship arm behind Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee.

The decision makes the debate on incoming freshman Zach Lee's future even more intriguing. Though currently enrolled in summer classes at LSU, Lee could make a move towards Major League Baseball by mid-August.

I guess the boy can tell whats about to happen at LSU. They have plenty of talent, but no coaching.
